Killing time in the Seventh Circle

Well it looks like I have yet again taken up the task of blogging again. I have to do something to occupy my time trapped here in cubicle-ville at my dad's office. I have come to the realization that there is absolutely no way I can spend my life trapped in a 9-5 office, in my little 5 x 7 space. Id have a pistol in my mouth pretty quick.

Usually when I try to blog I get bogged down in trying to make different types of posts and features, but this time I hope to stick with it by making it more of a free flowing experience. So when I post from now on its going to be more of a whats-on the top of my head kind of deal.
This summer seems to be just dragging on more than any I have had in recent memory. Maybe its because I haven't had all my friends in town, ready to do something every night. And working every day makes it drag as well. I think i'm coming to the sad realization that true "summers" will be a thing of the past for me.

I went to Heath's house and caught the NBA draft. The NBA always bugs me because there always seems to be all sizzle and no steak when it comes to trade rumors. I have had zero interest in the Garnett/Kobe/Marion/Whoever rumors, mainly because 99% of the time nothing ever happens. Its all just talk. Wake me when something actually happens. The draft itself was interesting, some teams got some real help. I think a team to watch out for next year is Memphis, believe it or not. Conley running the show will be fun to watch, as they had a good talent base to start of Gasol, Gay, Warrick and Miller. Thats a running, gunning, fun team. If they can get value for Gasol, watch out. I enjoyed seeing the Mavs pick up Nick Fazekas, he's a solid player and is unfairly getting the Keith Van Horn rap already around these parts. He is more willing to bang inside, and should be able to step right in and help. He is at least a cheaper, better version of Austin Croshere. Also, we got great value in picking up Reshawn Terry in the second round. Watch out for him. Athletic as heck, if he can wrap his head around the pro game he could be a piece to watch.

Only 25 days till Cowboys training camp...then and only then will sports be worth watching again. The Rangers have done their best to fill the sports hole this summer, but everyone in DFW is simply twiddling their thumbs till its time to care about the beloved Boys again. I will be at training camp for a few days this year, who knows, I might even post some first hand analysis of some players on this here blog.
